Hello.

My name is Jenifer Nipps, though I prefer to go by Jen.  And welcome to my website. I used to say, "Please be patient as I'm currently updating," but what website isn't in some form of construction and update?

I am a writer in South central Oklahoma.  Throughout this site, you will be able to read some of my work, if you so wish it, and see some of the sites and sunsets in this part of the state.

I am past 1st and 2nd Vice-President for OWFI and past-President for the McAlester McSherry Writers.

So what do I write?

It used to be all over the place until I found my current niche in romance late in 2006.  I have completed two historical romances set in Ireland early in the Middle Ages.  My current project is a current-day romantic suspense.  After it's finished, I plan to go back to central Ireland in a third book following the same family.

I read about as much as I write.  My favorites are Sherrilyn Kenyon, Christine Feehan, Karen Marie Moning, Katie MacAllister, Mercedes Lackey, David Eddings, George R.R. Martin, Terry Goodkind, and many others.  Let us not forget J.R.R. Tolkien!  Yes, I love Lord of the Rings.

In case you are interested, I have a couple blogs that I could not list in the sidebar because of the way this is configured.  Créatif is dedicated to thoughts, concerns, and issues related to writing, beadwork/jewelry, creativity, and my journey on the creative path.  Feel free to leave comments if you like.  You don't have to register to do so.

Refilling the Well is another blog.  It goes along with a nonfiction project I am currently working on.  It is a tool for helping increase your creativity, maintain your creative stores, and refill your creative well if/when you get low.  There are exercises, quotes, and sources there if you're interested.

While you're visiting, if you see something that I've left out or goofed up on somehow, or for any other comments or questions, please use the feedback form provided.

Happy Reading,

Jen
